Ways to Support the College

Undergraduate Scholarships

Scholarships give CLAS undergraduates the resources they need to pursue a diverse, modern liberal arts education. A gift to support student success opens up a world of possibilities for our leaders of tomorrow.

"Coming from a first-generation background, the financial support I have received from the University and esteemed donors has helped support my ability to go to college without any debt."

- Parth Patel ’21 (CLAS), molecular and cell biology and political science major; recipient of the Myles Martel '65 Scholarship Honoring the Leadership of President Emeritus Philip E. Austin and the Augusta H. Gerberich Scholarship

Graduate Fellowships

Graduate fellowships give scholars starting out in their careers the freedom to develop their own innovations and bring new knowledge to the students they teach.

"My financial support allowed me to attend a conference abroad with globally-recognized presenters. It caused me to be more open-minded in understanding other approaches and more confident in articulating my clinical identity."

- Jaime Blackmon, psychological sciences Ph.D. student; recipient of the Julian B. Rotter Scholarship and the J. Conrad Schwartz Fellowship

Dean’s Fund

The CLAS Dean’s Fund provides resources for programs that impact our diverse faculty and student body, like the McNair Scholars Program. A gift to the Dean's fund allows the Dean to support student and faculty travel, visits by distinguished scholars, faculty research, and more.

"The McNair Scholars Program launched me into doing research. I don’t have the guidance in my immediate family to help me through college. Having a community of other students in the same position as me really boosted me up."

- Amanda Pastore '20 (CLAS), ecology and evolutionary biology major and geosciences minor; McNair Scholar
