Offices and Services

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is supported by a network of offices that help students succeed, advance research, and support the day-to-day operations of the College. Whether you’re looking for academic advising, research support, business services, communications, or technology assistance, these offices work together to support the College’s mission. 


Academic Services Center

The CLAS Academic Services Center supports undergraduate students throughout their academic journey and serves as a resource for faculty and staff advisors. Professional advisors help students navigate academic requirements, plan their degree programs, connect with campus resources, and prepare for graduation.

The Dean’s Office provides strategic leadership for the College and works with academic departments, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners to advance the College’s mission.

Administrative Services

Administrative Services coordinates major College initiatives and supports the work of the Dean and leadership team. Responsibilities include commencement, College awards, committees, scholarships, and other administrative operations. 

Communications

The Communications Office manages the College’s marketing, communications, websites, news, and social media while supporting departments, centers, and institutes with strategic communications and storytelling.


Shared Services Center 

CLAS Shared Services provides operational support that helps departments focus on teaching, research, and student success. Staff work centrally and within academic units to support business operations, facilities, grant management, and information technology.

Business Center

Supports budgeting, purchasing, payroll, travel, staffing, financial reporting, and other business operations across the College.  

Facilities

UConn Foundation 

The UConn Foundation partners with the College to strengthen teaching, research, and student success through private philanthropy and alumni engagement.
