Research Enhancement Workshops
The CLAS Research Enhancement Workshops are designed to support the research enterprise across CLAS. Workshop topics vary across the broad range of disciplines within the College and are meant to foster conversations and encourage research among our diverse scholars.
All workshops will be presented virtually via Webex and require advance registration to participate.

Monday, January 25
4:00-5:30 p.m.
Research During COVID
Panel discussion and breakout sessions related to strategies for doing research during COVID and for re-starting research after COVID. Panelists will discuss barriers as well as informational resources for support.
Monday, February 15
12:00-1:00 p.m.
Navigating the NIH
Panel discussion and presentations on how to be successful at the NIH. This session is designed to be a general introduction to NIH and will discuss broad issues related to the NIH review process.

Developing Interdisciplinary Collaborations
Discussion of strategies for developing interdisciplinary collaborations. Building relationships with community partners and involving diverse constituents. Panel with match-making exercise among and between areas in STEM, the humanities, and social sciences.
Monday, April 19
12:00-1:00 p.m.
Writing a Successful First and Second Book Proposal
A panel discussion on how to best construct an initial as well as a second successful book proposal.
Monday, May 17
12:00-1:30 p.m.
NIH and the RO1
Panel discussion and presentation on how to successfully apply for a RO1 grant. Panelists who have served on Study Sections will provide insight on the process. This session will be specific to the RO1.
